Abstracts vs Actualities: What Do You "Know" is "Happening?"

"The Tilled Field", Joan Miro, Oil on Canvas 1924

If you haven't already, read PART 1 of this particular series HERE. Everything will make much more sense. If not, carry on, and let the confusion hopefully inspire you to new heights of philosophical self-inquiry.

What's "Happening"?

YOU ARE. "Reality", as only YOU can define is, IS happening right now. Understand that "reality" requires consciousness to qualify it as "reality" in the first place. Minus conscious awareness there is no "reality". Anyone that attempts to argue otherwise is using irrational (contradictory) logic. Contradiction is not knowledge, nor "truth", whatever that may be. It's contradiction, and that sums 0.

(ASIDE - If you want to argue consciousness is an illusion, I'll rationally ask you to please explain "an illusion of what?" You might reply "of reality". This implies you have empirical knowledge and evidence of a reality existing somewhere that is the base layer projection for this illusion, which begs even more rational questions. Meet me in the comments for that stuff.)

Consciousness is a prerequisite for claiming "reality" is "reality", and consciousness is NOW. Always NOW. Absolutely NOW. When is consciousness? Consciousness is NOW. Kind of a funny way to think about it, but that's exactly what it is. NOW.

What Do You "Know", for Certain?

Your consciousness is the only thing you've ever actually known for certain; you are conscious/self-aware. This is key to understanding how to appropriately apply the concept of balance into a useful tool, that actually yields measurable (and pleasurable) results to your life and experiences.

Ontologically (not just psychologically), there is nothing outside of the "present". Your "projections" about what took place in the past, or what may or may not happen in the future, are just that; projections.

People love to call each other delusional for a variety of things, but this right here takes the cake; projecting your awareness outside of the present moment directly dilutes your actual ontological relationship with what's happening.

You ARE, and You ARE (Happening) NOW

The word "happening" implies NOW. NOW-ness.

Everything you've ever experienced since you can recall becoming self-aware, is happening right now. Even the language used to describe that is a concept; an abstraction, not an actual. It exists only in the mind of the observer.

The conscious, self-aware agent using that very self-aware consciousness to conceive concepts that are useful for the mastery of its environment...The only thing that exists to give anything meaning in the first place is YOU. YOU (SELF) exist, and you exist absolutely. The only constant is you as an existential singularity; consciousness is the ability to conceive concepts in the first place. This cannot be overstated.

Rationally, it then follows that the only constant is your self-awareness, your consciousness.

Everything you "know" is relative to this existential singularity anchoring of awareness.

Epistemologically you don't know shit other than YOU ARE YOU, and OTHER THINGS ARE NOT YOU. This is where it all starts.

The World is an Ideological Shopping Mall of Contradiction as "Fact (I.E. "Truth")"

To continue to sleepwalk via treating concepts as real (Plato's Big Fuck Up) vs appropriating them as descriptions, not determinative of ontological reality is to thus elevate those concepts over reality itself.

Welcome to insanity.

This just so happens to be how the modern world functions without so much as a second thought.

Yes, they call those of us who refuse to settle for contradiction, paradox, and mystery as legitimate rational explanations for reality are the insane, conspiratorial, schizo ones.

I don't settle for that bullshit, and neither should you if you've read this far.

Come get a hot cup of coffee (or tea, juice, water, etc.) and a breather, you've fucking earned it.

Part 3 of this series is already written and being edited now. Stay tuned. Most importantly...

Abstracts vs Actualities: Introduction

""The Floating Intellect - a mechanical behemoth disconnected from the ground of objectivity."" -Montalk.net

Introduction

Readers of this particular blog know I don't mess around. There's no time for easily-misconstrued bullshit. The world is already rife with that. There are an infinite number of shallow resources that leave more questions asked than they answer. Not only do I submit that a return to rationality is required, but an extreme one at that. Centuries of bullshit have poisoned the minds of everyone. Contradiction is heralded as explanation, with no second thought. Hell, there's not even a first thought, and that's the problem. Even in grade school, I always argued that critical thinking is just thinking. People just have low standards for thinking in the first place, so anything outside of their comfort zone is labeled "critical".

That should show you how poor of a starting point we often give ourselves. An immediately self-imposed limit. "Stepping on your own dick", as the brash Dan Pena would say. No matter; we need to get rational (use non-contradictory definitions and explanations) regarding some basic stuff, so that we can make use of it. So it can have efficacy for us. We need to smash the philosophical pinta wide open and examine things in uncomfortable - and hyper rational - detail.

Thus, this series, or folder, or subsection of articles will be dedicated to the blunt, rational attack on supposed commonly-accepted-as-fact assertions. Abstracts vs Actualities will dive uncomfortably deep into the ways we humans sleepwalk through our own definitions, often in contradictory fashion, and how this has a subtle, but massive impact on our behavior, and thus results in life. I've yet to come across a particular resource that unites philosophy, psychology, and physics in this manner. It's my goal to show you that in "reality", there's a thin, thin line between what we think we're doing, and what we're actually doing. Returning to rational thinking will make all of this crystal clear, because your thinking will be clear. There will be no room for doubt or anxiety because you'll "see" how contradiction was holding you back, usually in areas you were previously "unconscious" (unaware) of.

Thus, a return to rationality is a return to conscious awareness of "what in the fuck is actually going on".

Part 2 is being edited now and will be up in the coming days.

Until then,

Stay rational, stay sane.

Physics is Not a Recipe for Ontology Part 1

YOU ARE, first and foremost.

YOU ARE a metaphysical singularity, and absolutely so.

Every "thing" you "think", "believe", and "know" is a direct result of your conscious existence.

Your consciousness is the only unmoving, unwavering, constant frame of reference for anything.

Your consciousness and existence are a prerequisite for anything to have any meaning whatsoever, even the claim "Freewill is an illusion" (an illusion of what, and for whom?).

"Past", "present", and "future" are psychological abstracts. They aren't actuals. They're descriptive, not determinative.

To treat them as actuals is to elevate conceptual paradigms over actual ontological reality.

Physics is not a recipe for ontological reality.

Consciousness/existence IS...and absolutely so.

Stay rational, stay sane.

Information is NOT Knowledge Part 2

The Economics of Information

As a general rule of thumb, the more plentiful a resource, the less valuable it will be. This isn't a "correlation doesn't equal causation" moment that arm chair YouTube philosophers think makes them witty. No. By FACT, the more information there is, the larger the portion of that information is going to be low quality, half true, or straight up incorrect.

How do we know this?

There are two reasons:

1. The barrier to entry is non-existent in 2020. Anybody with an internet connection can make the most pleasant looking website and propaganda tool in seconds, for very cheap or even free. I work with clients that are engineers in both software and manufacturing, and I'm always told how many sites and scam companies they have to filter through to avoid money laundering, etc. People on the civilian level do not realize how crazy the internet actually is outside of Amazon, Facebook, and YouTube.

2. Loaded Shaman's Social Axiom #1: People will demand a gimmick. What's a gimmick? "Shakes, wraps, and pills (and courses), oh my!".  People will do anything except use raw information and act on it. Because people love to avoid straightforward no bullshit answers to problems, and will instead concoct entire websites, forums, groups, and followings based entirely on ideas rooted in irrational philosophical assumptions, most importantly on the epistemological end.

The final part in this series will expand upon the above two points in uncomfortably-rational detail.

Stay rational, stay sane.

Why Truth is Like Panning for Gold

The following is an article I wrote for another blog, and rightfully re-posted here:

Axiom #1: That which is True DOES NOT CONTRADICT.

CONTRADICTIONS can be physical (evidence) or psychological (broken logic), but they are CONTRADICTIONS none the less. What remains after working through CONTRADICTIONS is thus NON-CONTRADICTORY, and thus MUST IN FACT BE TRUE/TRUTH relative to the context of any situation, circumstance, or given set(s) of information. Why? Again, remember: whatever IS TRUE, by definition, NEVER CONTRADICTS. This process is analogous to panning for GOLD: you sift away the excess "NOT GOLD" (I.E the sand, dirt, glass, and other assorted bullshit), and what remains can only be GOLD (True/Truth).

What Tools Are You Using?

Most people's minds are like sifts that have way too big of holes. Thus all the gold - that which is actually TRUE for any given set of information, situations, circumstances, and/or contexts - slips through with the rest of the sand ("Throwing the baby out with the bathwater"). The difference between True and not-True is impossible to perceive, because the gaps in your sift (or net, etc.) are too big to capture anything new or useful. It makes discerning anything True indistinguishable from not-True.

Some people fall for the opposite trap and have too tight/small of holes in their sift. They trap the gold, sure...but they also still retain most, if not all, of the sand. Any gold retained is obscured by CONTRADICTION (bullshit), and is thus effectively useless for personal progress. This is the same thing as letting the gold escape. You still can't tell the actual difference between what's sand and what's gold without "digging deeper" to uncover your "nuggets of wisdom". The reason for the "These hole are too big/too small" phenomena is entirely due to the presence of CONTRADICTION - I.E. not-Truth - SOMEWHERE IN THE PERSON'S CURRENT CHAIN OF REASONING.

To ignore, marginalize, or outright double-down against this fact is to compound one's own ignorance with massive error.

Your Ability to REASON is Your Ultimate Tool for Knowledge & Personal Growth

Reason = conceptual consistency.

Your access to Truth - whatever the hell that may be for any given context, circumstance, or given set(s) of information - is an ABSOLUTE function of the QUALITY OF YOUR ABILITY TO REASON. The only thing actually preventing you from receiving the raw data of reality, as truthfully as you can possibly understand, relate to, and use it, is your ability to use REASON. TL;DR: the stronger your ability to reason, the less susceptible you are to bullshit, lies, and manipulation.

Until you have a proper "filter" - I.E. A SOLID EPISTEMOLOGY (How do we know what we know, and how do we know what we know is valid and useful?) in place, you'll never have the correct size holes in your sift to access Truth, and thus understand its genuine efficacy (actual usefulness and application) in your life.

People in positions of authority, whom are bullshitting you, won't set off your bullshit detector because you foolishly equate authority = integrity = truth. You've been fooled into letting anyone and everyone whom ISN'T YOU act as your "filter" or "sift", instead of genuinely understanding how to think for yourself, and thus PROGRESS YOURSELF. This is analogous to trying to have a phone conversation with a third party in between you and your guest, relaying what each of you is saying to the other. It's not a clear-cut path to what's actually going on; there's a "filter" in the way of the raw data attempting to come through.

That "third party" is your pre-programmed epistemology: your unconscious assumption that any knowledge uncovered by other people, especially in positions of perceived authority (I.E. "Scientists have measured this and proved it, it's a non-discussion", "The government wouldn't plan to sabotage its own citizens) is infallible and trustworthy. It is the extremely dangerous assumption that other people's knowledge is not only accurate, but also more accurate than your present capability of understanding what may or may not actually be going on with and in this crazy world. Compound this with the fallacy of group consensus (experts all agree claim X is true, despite being riddled with contradiction), and you have a veritable clusterfuck of psychological and spiritual smoke and mirrors.

You're Stuck Because You've Been Conditioned to Operate Unreasonably (Inconsistently)

Until you learn how to properly REASON with information and claims - how to sort what's bullshit from what's valid -  all personal development, mind hacks, business tricks, and relationship help in the world will not save you. You are stuck because you require a fundamental shift in your root assumptions, of which are presently analogous to writing philosophical checks that reality can't actually cash...because they contain CONTRADICTIONS. These CONTRADICTIONS cause seemingly-random anxiety that can manifest as stress, procrastination, etc. You have internal blocks which are CONTRADICTORY, and the part of you that matters the most knows this. Try driving your car while hitting the gas and the brakes at the same time. This is why you're actually stuck/experiencing resistance in life.

The purpose of this site is to help you figure out the optimal size holes for your gold-panning (Personal Growth) endeavors. To have the presence of a single false hood (I.E. CONTRADICTION) in your reasoning is to poison the proceeding logic, and thus poison the entire thing. Any extension of an absolute is also itself an absolute.

There are no "degrees of Truth". It either CONTRADICTS itself, or it doesn't. No combination of Truth with CONTRADICTION (Not-Truth) will ever yield raw Truth. Too much sugar spoils the entire batch.

Before you can even logic something, you have to have a reason for trying to combine those two things into a logical statement or claim. The process starts on the level of REASON, and if you have flawed REASONING, all of your logic will likewise be flawed. Why? Again, because any extension of an absolute is also itself an absolute. Thus, the ability to understand Truth, as it could ever exist or be applicably useful to make positive changes in your life, is a function of your ability to REASON. Fashion your sift, and prepare to uncover the treasures within and around you.

Stay rational, stay sane.

Consciousness is ABILITY

I have a few straight forward questions for you:

Who's deciding the nature of their thinking?

Who's deciding what to do or not to do?

Who's deciding?

The answer is YOU (SELF) ARE. Not only "are you", but YOU ARE, and YOU ARE - ABSOLUTELY.

Consciousness and existence are corollaries. To be conscious is to exist. To exist is to be conscious. There is no separation. There can't be.

The ABILITY of consciousness/existence to consciousness/exist is first and foremost.

YOU ARE conscious/exist because YOU ARE ABLE TO BE!

Stay rational, stay sane.

The Identical Twin Metaphysics of Theology and Scientific Determinism

The only difference is the terminology (wrapping paper) used.

Theology = Infinite Causal Absolute (God's creation).

Physics (Mathematics, Natural Law) = Infinite Causal Absolute (Big Bang).

That which is a logical extension of an absolute, is that absolute.

It can't be otherwise. If you can explain this without contradicting either the definitions of the words you're using, or the logic you're using, I'm all ears. I've yet to hear a rational argument that doesn't involve either of those two things. This is why I feel this stuff is so, so important.

The contradiction should be obvious, but it isn't because of hundreds of years of Platonic "reasoning" being accepted as "rational thinking". You cannot have an infinite absolute that creates or causes anything outside or beyond itself by definition. This is a perfect example of people using incorrect language to seal themselves off from already-challenging mental work. You are either free to choose or you are an extension of whatever caused you. There is no in between. It is absolute because you're an extension of what you're logically claiming to argue from. It works in funny ways because either you have to admit that you are god, by extension, or that you're nothing, by extension. The logic will always, always double back no matter how you try to dodge it, like water naturally seeking its level.

My argument is uncomfortably rational. My Philosophical Chain of command has no contradictions, and thus must in fact actually be a compass toward what's true, whatever that means and whatever it is. This is because it doesn't contradict. Whatever is left after contradiction is dealt with, no matter how "unlikely", must be more accurate than what was previously assumed. This is called building a true progressively rational paradigm of observable reality. There will be an entire article series on this. For now, I leave you with the following thought exercise:

Two Questions For You, The Reader

1. Who created God?

2. What was before the Big Bang?

BONUS question: WHERE AND WHEN was time BEFORE the Big Bang?

Can you answer those questions rationally in the comments below, or are you mentally blindsided into accepting contradiction, mystery, and "paradox" as explanations for what we as human beings observe?

Stay rational, stay sane.

The Mentally Lazy Don't Get to Define "Reality"

Lazy thinking is reactionary based thinking. Emotionally-driven unconscious bullshit. The color of someone's skin, their opinion, sexual orientation, or thoughts about president X or sports-ball team Y is enough to set you off?

You're a lazy thinker. You're lazy because you're not thinking. You're reacting. What's more, lazy thinkers try to appear to do more work up front so as to create the facade that they're deep thinkers. They aren't. This is evidenced when you attempt a nuanced conversation that corners them into their own contradictory logic.

Them: GREEDY COMPANIES ARE PAYING WOMEN LESS FOR THE SAME WORK!

Me: So why aren't those greedy companies exclusively hiring women and pocketing the difference as profit?

Them: SHUT UP YOU PRIVILEGED SEXIST WHITE MALE STOP CHANGING THE SUBJECT AND SHIFTING VICTIM BLAME!!!

And around we go.

Triggered?

The title of this blog post was meant to "trigger". Don't worry, there's nothing to be offended by...other than the ease with which people can be biased to think that anything that isn't touted as progressive, inclusive, or liberal AF is somehow going backwards.

It's not. People are. People are going backwards. The individual is. The smallest minority is the individual, but everyone conveniently forgets this when it suits their (individual) agenda the most.

"The world" is a clusterfuck of self-imposed human contradiction.

Simply put, most people are full of shit. So full of shit, they don't realize why or how in the first place, and this makes them legit full of shit because they believe their own bullshit unquestioningly. Information-based opinions, which are not knowledge. The average person is a clueless dolt that becomes the perfect pawn for companies, corporations, and governments to extract revenue from. These people actually thinking voting - or asking for permission to vote from their government (contradiction - permission to choose your ruler? Please...) - is an exercise in freedom. Then, those same people complain when either party messes with taxes or social programs in ways that are opposite of what was initially promised. Voters "can't believe it", yet readily line up to assume, consume, and resume business as usual. Those that deny power are the most powerless. Those that deny their own power are truly powerless.

Rational philosophy destroys all of this and leaves it shaking in the dust of its former self.

The world thrives on contradiction.

This obviously goes back to definitions, which goes back to being rational; that is, not allowing contradiction to exist in your definitions, let alone as explanations for phenomena.

Unconscious Insecurity is The Main Ingredient

The real problem is insecurity. Someone working hard reminds people that they themselves are not. Ever wonder why people get pissed about things that have absolutely nothing to do with them? Because you're an individual and "subconsciously' underneath all your bullshit programming you know reality is a function of you. What you feel IS reality. You're being reminded by another that you're merely existing, not actually living.

There's a big difference.

Existing is a static state. You're conscious, but you're unconscious of WHO you actually are - SELF. You then decorate and hide this self to satisfy arbitrary social conventions conceived by other low-conscious humans because bandwagon fallacy coupled with argument from authority.

Living, on the other hand, involves consciously choosing your response to stimuli.

A 9-5 desk job with a two hour commute that leaves you 1 hour a day to yourself is existing.

Being an entrepreneur and eating what you kill is living. Being in the moment and responding - not reacting - to reality and its participants. It's no wonder people in sales positions are generally better off not only financially, but spiritually as well. Maybe those "greedy people" know something we don't; actual human behavior.

It's like they understand that projecting an emotion is like, the entire fucking purpose of this reality experience.

Funny how that works.

Stay rational, stay sane.

New Decade, New SELF; So Stop "Parsing" "It" (YourSELF)

You can say subconscious, higher self, lower self, chakras, mind, body, spirit, etc.

You're completely free to model your reality this way, using those labels. But realize in the process all you're doing is adding more moving parts in your own consciousness, rather than just letting it be one thing/what it actually is. What that is, IS is. I know that sounds and reads funny but that's the accurate description. It's all of those things when you focus on them individually, but it can never reach its true potential by being approached from a raw, reductionist frame of reference, because that misappropriates, and thus dilutes, the actual efficacy of IS as a rational metaphysical primary. This then causes a whole host of cascading fallacies that carry over and infect all the other points in the Philosophical Chain of Command.

That's kind of the thing. Your entire "reality" is this frame of reference. You're existentially anchored. You're anchored as SELF amongst an infinite variety of finite manifestations of other existentially anchored SELF. That's not a grammatical error. Singular. Not "SELVES". There is no group metaphysic. All of "your" memories, thoughts, fears, and emotional reactions are only ever from the constant unmovable frame of reference that is YOU. YOU ARE YOU, and that's all you can BE(ing). Everything you know is relative to this. You absolutely exist (and you exist absolutely), or you wouldn't be able to formulate an (insanely inane) argument that you don't exist (the ultimate epistemological fallacy).

What "it" is, is IS. The IS-ness of "reality" stems from YOU - the SELF. You IS because you're ABLE to IS. Consciousness/Existence is ABLE to consciousness/existence. Again not a grammatical error. Only after Consciousness/Existence is ABLE, does it IS (notice I didn't say "becomes", "evolves" or "is created into"). I know this sounds like the absolute bat-shit crazy self-referential ramblings of some sort of Ozzy Osbourne tautology (What the fuck is this fucking fuck fucking with?!), but I assure you great care has been taken to make sure people don't think deeply on this shit.

The only "thing" which can be "actually" quantified as "real" is YOU. Everything else is a concept of your consciousness, not the other way around. Everything else is a concept from within your conscious awareness, because that's the function of consciousness; self-awareness as the constant, unmoving, existential anchoring of everything you know and think you know. That's it. To add additional and unnecessary layers of abstraction on top of this existential anchoring - such as subconscious, higher self, lower self, etc. - is to completely destroy your true connection TO yourSELF as it actually exists an experiences "reality".

"Reality" is entirely dependent on you first and foremost. Many love to argue "death is just like before you were born; you didn't exist". This is mostly justified by the lack of memory of experience, etc. Sounds logical. The only thing is the premise is irrational. "You" have always existed because that's all there is. You. SELF. There are also an infinite number of finite copies of this SELF manifesting simultaneously.

"Ego" is just a much a part of this manifestation of consciousness as anything else. To attempt to parse ego away as some sort of lower priority on the totem pole is to fall for the same trap outlined at the start of this article.

All Your Quantification Are Belong to Arbitrary (Because You Say So)

First and foremost, how are you quantifying those concepts?

Notice who's required for those concepts to have any meaning, relevance, or usefulness in daily life in the first place?

YOU.

SELF.

Without SELF CONSCIOUSLY EXISTING (consciousness and existence are the same thing, they are the only true COROLLARY)...are you just creating labels for yourself as a mental bookmark, so you don't have to think a little deeper about how to "touch yourself up" a bit, so to speak? Most of the time when we think of "spirit", it can be inspirational but the word itself can get you hung up on unrealistic and detached concepts that are actually having a negative effect on your reality instead of a positive one. You can't see them as negative effects because you're operating from a contradiction somewhere in your Philosophical Chain of Command.

Everyone IS unique, but not in the way social programming will have you "thinking" (there is no actual thought involved).

There is an "other", but not in the way traditional theologists postulate (and attempt to argue morality from).

The universe is indeed infinite, but not at all in the ways physics proclaims.

Shit is way, way weirder - despite being completely rational.

Appealing to Contradiction is Not The Way Forward in 2020

That's the amazing part. Reality IS weird as hell. We've been programmed with a plethora of lies and distortions that create a sterilized interpretation of "reality", mostly for the convenience of whatever authority figure's plan at that "point in time" (don't get me started with "time is real and is a dimension" bullshit) is.

I drink my coffee black and I eat my oatmeal with no sugar, cinnamon, or sweetener whatsoever. There's never a good argument for just listening to someone, but I assure you I'm probably the last person to allow a bias on an integral level. I shall remain as conscious and vigiliant against my own biases heading into the new decade, and I hope you'll do the same as well. We're far from perfect, but we as humans leave a lot on the table in regards to thinking clearly and rationally. Let's change that heading into 2020.

Stay rational, stay sane.
